Lagos State Born Singer 'Chephas' New Singles to Kaduna. Titled "There Shall be Peace"

A Gospel RnB Singer Olawumi Oluwatimilehin a Two Hundred Level Geography and Environmental Management Student in the University of Ilorin, who is also popularly known as "Chephas" Drops a new single Titled "THERE SHALL BE PEACE". In a brief interview with the fast rising Act, he said the new track was done to raise the Hope and Faith of many people in trouble especially people living in the Northern part of the country....

Star Magazine: Can we meet you?
Chephas: Am Olawumi "Chephas" Oluwatimilehin.

Star Magazine: Why the name Chephas?
Chephas: Chephas is a Greek rendition of the aramaic work 'Kepha' which means rock.

Star Magazine: So can we call you "Rock"?
Chephas: Not really

Star Magazine: Where do you hail from?
Chephas: I hail from Badagry in Lagos  but was raised and brought up in Osun State

Star Magazine: I realize that you are a 200 level student of Geography and Environmental Management  in the Uni-Ilorin?
Chephas: Yes

Star Magazine: So why didn't you study music instead?
Chephas: You know the thing about our Education system, you can only study what is in line with your Secondary School, so i couldn't possibly study music in the Uni.

Star Magazine: Coming back to your kind of music, do we call you a Gospel or a Moral Artiste?
Chephas: Calling my self a 'Moral Act' means am denying my stance; so i would rather say am a Gospeller.

Star Magazine: Since when have you been writing music?
Chephas: I have been writing music for the past six years, but i just recorded my first single this year.

Star Magazine: Lets talk about you new singles on ground, i keep playing it over and over again and don't seem to get tired. What really inspired you to write the Song "There Shall be Peace"?
Chephas: (laughs, play am well o!) the inspiration really stemmed from my many troubles and challenges in life and i knew i wasn't the only one facing such in life . And also i believe in midst of many troubles we can still have peace of mind in troubled world. for example,  Kaduna State was suppose to be one of the most commercial states in Nigeria, but look at what the state has turned into, such a pity.

Star Magazine: So are you saying the music is dedicated to the people of kaduna state?
Chephas: Yes, and everybody in the northern part of the country and Nigeria at large.

Star Magazine: Do you wish to study music in future?
Chephas: Yes! because i believe to extraordinary in whatever i do. And i have to get the best of human knowledge and then proceed to add 'Xtra' that only God can give.

Star Magazine: Unlike other musical Gongs; names like Wiz kid, Iyanya, Omawumi and Co. who are really making it big in music today. Are you trying to say you are not interested in the commercial aspect of music?
Chephas: Why not, you know beyond every "i don't like gospel music" is a yearning for improvement in the genre of music. So with God on my side, we will make good music that those who would otherwise not listen to gospel music will begin to do so and that way the commercial aspect will be taken care of.

Star Magazine: As a Nigerian Artiste, which Nigerian Super Star would you like to work with?
Chephas: I would like to work with Frank Edwards, Rooftop Mcs, Kore and maybe Sinachi.

Star Magazine: Address the Music Industry.
Chephas: The industry is really doing great and i thank God only that people should encourage good music.

Star Magazine: A message to your Fans and Media.
Chephas: Good bless them all in Jesus name and i want to give a big Ups to Star Celebrity Magazine, you are doing a great Job. Extend my greetings to Natty Brain when you get to kaduna.

Star Magazine: I will do that. Thanks so much for your time Chephas, hope you pay us a visit in Kaduna Someday...
Chephas: Thanks, yes i will.......
